Upcoming changes that will impact customers
In April and June, we notified you that Adelaide Bank products and services will be transitioned to Bendigo Bank products and services. We can now confirm that this transition will take place between 9 p.m. (AEDT) on Friday 5 December 2025 and 9 p.m. (AEDT) on Sunday 7 December 2025.
It is important to note that you will not have access to your funds while the above transition period takes place. This includes ATM, EFTPOS and any online services such as online banking.
To understand how the changes being made as part of the transition impact you and your products and services, please refer to the communications we have sent you. Copies of the Changes Booklets we prepared and distributed in May 2025 and copies of the terms and conditions documents referred to in them are published below. Please keep in mind that some of the information included in the Changes Booklets or the terms and conditions documents may have been updated by the more recent communications sent to you. If you haven’t received printed copies of the documents published below, and you would like to, please contact us.
We will write to all customers again in October 2025 to confirm the transition date and provide you with further details such as your new account numbers.
We are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way and making this transition as simple and easy for you as possible.
If you have any questions regarding the changes, we are here to help. Please contact us on (08) 8201 9866 or email us at migration.careteam@bendigoadelaide.com.au

Frequently asked questions
If you have an existing Adelaide Bank account, then you’ll have already received letters from us in April and June about the transition to Bendigo Bank. Further letters will be sent in October and November detailing next steps and how to prepare for the transition.
If you have an Adelaide Bank account but have recently changed address or haven’t received anything as yet, please contact us on (08) 8201 9866 or email us at migration.careteam@bendigoadelaide.com.au.
The transition will take place between 9pm (AEDT) on Friday 5 December 2025 and 9pm (AEDT) on Sunday 7 December 2025.
You won’t have access to your Adelaide Bank funds while this transition takes place. This includes ATM, EFTPOS and any online services such as online banking. If you currently have Bendigo Bank e-banking, this will also be unavailable while the transition takes place, however access to Bendigo Bank cards (ATM and EFTPOS) will not be impacted.
We recommend you plan ahead to make essential purchases outside of this transition period. Full access to your products, accounts and services will be restored once the transition period is complete. We thank you for your patience while we make these necessary changes, and apologise for any inconvenience you may experience.
Each Adelaide Bank product has been mapped to an equivalent Bendigo Bank product. In the letter sent in June 2025, we outlined the new products your existing accounts will be migrating to. That letter contains details about what else you need to know, and it should be read along with the Changes Booklet and the subsequent communications we send you.
The letter we will send you in October will contain your new Bendigo Bank customer and account numbers, as well as information about your new products.
If you currently have access to both Adelaide Bank Online Banking and Bendigo Bank e-banking, you’ll be provided with online access to your accounts in Bendigo Bank e-banking as part of the transition.
If you don’t already have Bendigo Bank e-banking but have Adelaide Bank Online Banking (active in the past 18 months), an Access ID and instructions for your temporary password(s) will be sent to you separately before the transition date. Once the transition is completed, you’ll be able to access Bendigo Bank e-banking through a web browser and the Bendigo Bank app.
We’ll send you a separate letter with further information on e-banking in November.
Yes. If you currently hold a Visa Debit Card or Visa Credit Card, you’ll receive a new replacement Debit Mastercard® or Credit Mastercard® by post, with activation instructions included. Please note, these cards can only be used from the transition date.
For debit and credit cards, a separate card is required to operate each account. To assist in identifying which card belongs to which account, you can match cards and accounts via Bendigo e-banking. Please contact us if you require further assistance.
Where possible, we’ll arrange for direct debit and direct credits to be automatically redirected to your new Bendigo Bank account details for three months following the transition.
In some cases, the other party to the direct debit or direct credit arrangement may require your authorisation to update the arrangement.
Examples of direct debit arrangements could include regular debits from your account to insurance companies, energy providers and subscription services. Examples of direct credit arrangements could include your salary and other regular payments you receive, such as Centrelink benefits.
Once the transition has occurred, you should review all direct debits and direct credits setup for your account. You should also update the account details to your new Bendigo Bank BSB and account number with the persons or organisations debiting or crediting your account.
From the transition date, your new Bendigo Bank BSB and account number should be used to establish any new direct debits or direct credits.
Yes. For all accounts other than credit card accounts, you’ll no longer be able to make payments to your account via BPAY once the transition has occurred. Any payments made with existing BPAY details won’t be redirected and will be returned via BPAY.
You’ll need to ensure all future payments for your account are sent using the BSB and account number to avoid missed payments.
Payments may still be made to credit card accounts after the transition date using your new Bendigo Bank account number as the BPAY reference.
Yes. If you have provided merchants with your Visa Debit Card or Visa Credit Card details to charge for expenses, such as insurance or gym membership, you’ll need to provide your new Debit Mastercard® or Credit Mastercard® details once transition has occurred to ensure any charges can be processed.
There won’t be any redirections in place, so any charges attempted for your existing Visa Debit Card or Visa Credit Card after the transition date will be declined or fail.
From the transition date, you must use your replacement Debit Mastercard® or Credit Mastercard®, as your existing Visa Debit Card or Visa Credit Card will no longer work.
They will continue after the transition date. The amount of the automatic payments will continue to be automatically updated in the future to reflect any changes to your monthly required repayments.
If you would like to make any changes to your repayments prior to the transition, you can contact the Adelaide Bank Customer Service team on 1300 652 220.
They will continue after the transition date. However, the amount and frequency will be fixed based on the amount and frequency in place immediately before the transition date and they won’t be updated to reflect any future changes to your required monthly repayments.

No. You won’t be able to use any Adelaide Bank cheques once you have transitioned to Bendigo Bank.
Any cheques drawn before the transition date will be redirected to your new account details if presented within three months after the transition date. Cheques drawn after the transition date may be dishonoured, but you will remain liable if the cheque is honoured.
We won’t issue replacement cheque books, and we ask you to please destroy any unused cheque books you have.
There are some things you can do to prepare, including but not limited to, planning ahead for essential purchases during the transition period, and reviewing your existing debit and credit card payment arrangements on your account.
For a more detailed list, please refer to the ‘Your transition to Bendigo Bank checklist’ provided with the letter sent to you in October.
