If you wish to approach Adelaide Bank with your sponsorship proposal, please take a moment to read the following sponsorship criteria.

Registered charities are encouraged to visit the Adelaide Bank Charitable Foundation.

Adelaide Bank will only consider sponsorship of events, programs or initiatives from organisations that are open, honest and transparent, and whose values align with the Bank's values of Integrity, Performance, Innovation, Teamwork and Fun.

Events or programs must demonstrate excellence and meet a community need, as well as guaranteeing a tangible and positive return to Adelaide Bank.

Although the majority of the programs and events in Adelaide Bank's current sponsorship portfolio are in South Australia, submissions for sponsorships that are national in scope or occur outside of the State are encouraged for consideration.

Sponsorships which seek to expand and enhance, as opposed to duplicate, Adelaide Bank's current portfolio with regards to community representation are likewise encouraged to apply via the sponsorship application form.

The following guidelines apply when Adelaide Bank considers your sponsorship proposal:

  1. Target audience

The target audience of the event or program must be clearly defined. Ideally, this will clarify alignment opportunities with Adelaide Bank's marketing and public relations activities.

Overall Adelaide Bank is seeking a balanced approach to enhancing the current sponsorship portfolio in order to support the development of a wide range of community and industry group representation.

  2. Branding

The sponsorship must provide Adelaide Bank with opportunities for branding, both at the event/s and in marketing material associated with your event/program/initiative.

  3. Community and stakeholder benefits

As well as delivering benefits to the wider community, sponsorships must provide significant business benefits for Adelaide Bank. These include tangible business, marketing and networking opportunities, as well as benefits for Adelaide Bank staff, partners and customers in the form of ticketing, hospitality and similar.

  4. Values alignment

Sponsorship applications must identify key ways of aligning with Adelaide Bank's values of Integrity, Performance, Innovation, Teamwork and Fun.

  5. Measurement and evaluation

Event or program organisers need to demonstrate how and when the success of the sponsorship will be evaluated. All aspects of the key criteria outlined above will require measurement and reporting.

  6. Sponsorship exclusions

Adelaide Bank will not consider sponsorships or proposals that:

    • are the direct responsibility of government
    • have overtly religious or political affiliation or overtones
    • promote or encourage substance abuse, including tobacco
    • promote gambling
    • could present a danger to public health or safety
    • could be seen as discriminatory or that denigrate, exclude or offend minority groups
    • take place outside Australia
    • are from individuals.

If you think your proposal meets these guidelines, Adelaide Bank welcomes your written application.
