As an operator, the Bank owned 14 retirement communities as well as operating 45 retirement communities around Australia at its peak. Through another subsidiary, CRSA, the Bank was one of the largest retirement community consultants in the U.S.A.

The Bank through its subsidiary also assisted in the development of retirement village legislation in both South Australia and Queensland, contributed to South Australia's 10 year plan for the elderly, participated in consultations with the Commonwealth Government on industry taxation issues and sponsored the Council of the Ageing.

Adelaide Bank is no longer an operator however it has generated a substantial lending business to the Retirement Village and Aged Care sectors on the basis of its extensive industry involvement and knowledge. We also retain membership of key industry representative bodies.
