Adelaide Bank and Bendigo Bank merger completedOn 30 November 2007, schemes of arrangement between Adelaide Bank and Bendigo Bank were implemented, and with this act the merger of the two banks was finalised. The following year, on 31 March 2008, the new company was officially renamed Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited, and Adelaide Bank is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of this entity. The formation of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited marks an exciting new era for Adelaide Bank and its customers, partners, staff, and the community it has served for over 100 years. All of these parties can greatly benefit from the increased strength and diversity the new financial institution can provide.
